COURSE DESCRIPTION
The goal of this basic and elementary petrol station outlet training is to provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the day-to-day operations of a petroleum retail outlet, the associated hazards and the necessary safety measures to be taken.

Upon completion of the training course, participants will: Have an in-depth understanding of the HSSE fundamentals and be able to respond in the event of a spill, fire and security incidents.
 Be able to explain the processes involve Vehicle filling and fuel containers
 Be able to explain the basic tools and equipment use in Spills prevention.
 Be able to explain the different Ignition & re-ignition sources & Static Electricity.
 Effectively respond to emergencies within their level of competence

 HSE Hazards of Filling Stations
 House Keeping
 Introduction to Fires
 Fire Extinguishers – types, usage and sand bucket.
 Spills – Minor and Major.
 PPE – usage.
 Introduction to First Aid.

Duration:
This Basic and elementary petrol station retail outlet HSE training course will be organized in 1 day. These include classroom exercises and videos. This Basic retail outlet HSE training is organized in our premises.

Pre-requisite:
There are no pre-requisite for the Basic and elementary retail outlet HSE training however it is recommended that participants be able to read and write Basic English.

Methodology:
 Class room session,
 Course manual and writing materials for all participants;
 Digital screen to display lecture slides and videos.
 Fire fighting practical’s
At the end of the course, participants shall be issued a certificate and PASS.
