COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Advanced Petroleum Bulk Storage Training will equip the Petroleum Bulk Storage facility personnel with competences that will permit them to adequately implement the safe evacuation and ensure that jobs are carried out exactly as stated in their Safe Operating Procedures manual.
Upon completing the training participants will be competently trained as petroleum depots competent persons with adequate safety knowledge and skills to supervise all depots operations in accordance with the DPR guidelines and international best practices. They should be able to:
Control of the depots operation
Understand the role of the competent person
Understand all HSE plan development methods
depots Health & Safety requirements
Deliver tool box talk presentations
General knowledge of firefighting equipment/operations
Delegate duties and control staff

Duration:
Advanced Petroleum Bulk Storage Training has duration of 2 days including classroom presentations, practical exercises, discussions and videos.
Pre-requisite:
The pre-requisite for Advanced Petroleum Bulk Storage Training is that participants must be able to read and write Basic English and must have completed Basic Petroleum Bulk Storage training.
Methodology:
Class room session,
Course manual for all participants;
Digital screen to display lecture slides and videos.
First Aid and fire fighting simulations
At the end of the course, participants shall be issued a certificate.
