COURSE DESCRIPTION: Companies, Firms, Industries and conglomerates have suffered great losses in terms of human lives, property and loss to process as a result of fire outbreak. Fire as we all know, hardly starts as a very big one, so the containment of fire depends greatly on how early the fire is discovered by someone who is willing, able and ready to fight it. The man on the spot with adequate training proves more valuable than the full time fire brigade many miles away. This course provides a background for basic fire fighting techniques and proper fire control methods to reduce the risk of injury, illness, death, and property damage.
OBJECTIVES: At the end of the course, participants should have awareness on fire safety in the office/ work environment. Be able to carry out proper evacuation of the office in real fire situations. Be conversant with Fire loss control & Practical fire fighting techniques. Eliminate or reduce fire in the work environment.

METHODOLOGY
Class room session Practical fire fighting with fire fighting equipment (Potable Handheld fire extinguishers) Course manual for all participants, Digital in-focus projector to display lecture slides. At the end of the course, participants shall be issued a certificate.
