COURSE: CONFINED SPACE ENTRANT AND ATTENDANT COURSE
COURSE CODE: CSE 111

Course Description
This short course is intended for all employees required to enter confined or enclosed spaces as it proposes a comprehensive program that would prevent different situations that may occur during the performance of a task in confined spaces.

Course Objectives The course takes into account all aspects of personal and engineering, emergency preparedness, knowledge, evaluation and control of risks, responsibilities and functions, as well as first aid. At the end of the program the participant will know how to identify confined spaces according to their classification and use appropriate and specific procedures to enter them, by observing all safety measures. At the end of course participants should be able to:
 Identify what is a confined space
 Describe the confined space hazards
 Identify permit required confined spaces
 Perform the procedure for obtaining the permit and working safely in a confined space in accordance with standards.

Training is usually best conducted in clients’ facility and with the rescue equipment they have.

DURATION
One Day

Class room session, Course manual for all participants Digital in-focus projector to display lecture slides At the end of the course, participants shall be issued certificates.

Revalidation:
Every three years

Health:
All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.
