This course provides information on how to effectively isolate energy sources and follow the Lockout Tagout procedures.
Course Objectives
Review the basic theory of Energy Isolation and Lockout / Tagout procedures.
Describe the energy sources found on the rig and identify the proper methods for isolating each type.
Describe the roles and responsibilities of personnel for Lockout Tagout procedure.
Identify the forms and associated fields used for Lockout Tagout procedure.
Describe the Lockout Tagout procedure steps.
Perform the Lockout Tagout procedure and complete an energy isolation form and log.
